CONCORD, NH – On Friday, December 6, 2024, the New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute (NHFPI) will host its 9th Annual Budget and Policy Conference at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord.
As New Hampshire prepares for the 2025 budget cycle, this year’s conference will be an essential gathering for policymakers, community and business leaders, and concerned residents. Attendees will delve into critical topics affecting the State’s budget and policy landscape, with a focus on meeting the needs of individuals and families.
“The 2025 Legislative Session will bring the development of a new two-year State Budget,” said Gene Martin, NHFPI’s Executive Director. “This budget will be a pivotal opportunity to invest in Granite State families and individuals as well as address our state’s most pressing challenges. NHFPI’s Annual Budget and Policy Conference will provide attendees with insights into the composition of the State Budget, how it’s funded, and how child care, housing, economic security, health, public education, and demographics are all interconnected.”
As New Hampshire’s leading nonpartisan nonprofit research organization, NHFPI looks forward to convening attendees from across the state to explore how the State Budget impacts the lives of everyday Granite Staters. The agenda for the day includes engaging sessions featuring NH Department of Health and Human Services Commissioner Lori Weaver; NH Department of Education School Finance Bureau Administrator Mark Manganiello; New Hampshire Housing Managing Director of Policy, Engagement, & Communications Heather McCann; UNH Center for Social Policy in Practice Director Jess Carson; and NHFPI Staff.
