AG Releases Names of Officers Involved in Fatal Shooting in Nashua

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella announces the identity of the three Nashua Police officers who used force during a shooting incident on June 2, 2024, in Nashua, New Hampshire that resulted in the death of Ryan Prudhomme (DOB 4/21/1983).

Officer Joshua Martin discharged his firearm during this incident. Additionally, Officers Jay Atchue and Rick Byron discharged less-lethal weapons, firing 40-millimeter direct impact rounds and beanbags, respectively.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. It is anticipated that the report regarding the incident and whether the officers’ use of deadly force was justified will be released once the investigation is completed. No further updates are expected until the report is released.
