24-HOUR ONLINE FUNDRAISING EVENT TO BENEFIT MORE THAN 650 NH NONPROFITS AND CAUSES

Concord, NH—More than 650 New Hampshire nonprofit organizations will participate in NH Gives on June 11-12, the Granite State’s biggest day of giving. Now in its ninth year, NH Gives, an initiative of the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits, is New Hampshire’s largest online fundraising event for nonprofits. NH Gives increases awareness for New Hampshire’s charitable organizations while providing a platform for them to raise critical funds for their missions. The 24-hour day of giving takes place from 5 pm on Tuesday, June 11, through 5 pm on Wednesday, June 12.

Since 2016, the annual event has raised more than $15 million for more than 1,000 organizations. Last year, over $3.5 million was raised for 610 nonprofits by more than 15,000 donors. This year, a record breaking 650 nonprofit organizations will participate, sharing their stories of impact and asking Granite Staters to pitch in to help fund critical work across the state. People can also take advantage of more than $620,000 in nonprofit matches to increase the impact of their contributions.

“This year, we have more nonprofits signed on than ever. It’s very exciting,” said Kathleen Reardon, CEO for the NH Center for Nonprofits. “The growth of NH Gives indicates that nonprofits recognize it as an opportunity to reach new donors to support their missions.”

NHGives.org is an easy-to-use, secure platform where people can learn about nonprofits doing amazing things in the Granite State and donate directly. Participating nonprofits are helping to feed people who are hungry, mentor children, protect the environment, spur civic engagement, enrich our communities through the arts, and more. For a full list of participating nonprofits, visit NHGIVES.org.

“We invite people across New Hampshire to join us on June 11th and 12th as we celebrate and support the nonprofit organizations that enrich our lives and keep our communities strong,” said Reardon. “The Center’s goal, as always, is to increase support for our state’s nonprofits. We are proud to provide this platform to increase awareness for the good and important work that is being done by the passionate and committed people in the nonprofit sector.”

To encourage other donors to give during the 24-hour event, the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and its donors will offer $30,000 in “Power of Community” prizes to the organizations that have the highest number of unique online donors over the 24 hours.

“Nonprofits make New Hampshire a better place for all of us. And they have continued to carry out their missions, delivering critical services and programs, despite increasingly complex challenges in recent years,” said Richard Ober, president and CEO of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and lead sponsor of NH Gives. “The growth of NH Gives over time shows that people in New Hampshire recognize the importance of nonprofits to our community, they recognize that we are in this together, and they are eager to show up and do their part to support the great work being done.”

NH Gives is supported by the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, Meredith Village Savings Bank, C&S Wholesale Grocers, Eversource, Fidium, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, Merrimack Country Savings Bank, Little Green Light, Beth Saunders Associates, RHL Strategies, Manchester Radio Group, Adiemus Impact, Andrews Coaching & Consulting, Lifeboat Accounting, Brick River, Montagne Powers, SentinelSource.com, Yankee Publishing, Comcast NBC Universal, Grappone Automotive Group, Concord Community TV, New Hampshire Union Leader, Circle Signworks, and InDepthNH.
