Storytelling and Publishing with Bev Stoddart and four New Hampshire authors Oct. 26 on Zoom at 7 p.m.

Now a Hybrid Workshop!

Off to a Great Start: Writing an Effective Opening for Your Novel, with Jeff Deck, is now being offered as a hybrid workshop; that is, you can attend in person at the Ford House on the SNHU campus or you can join via Zoom.

Here is a description of the workshop:

Learn how to captivate your readers from the very first paragraph of your novel. This workshop with Jeff Deck delves into the elements of a compelling first chapter, from setting the tone and introducing characters, to establishing setting and planting the seeds of your plot. Learn techniques to hook your readers, build intrigue, and set the stage for a memorable story. The workshop will be ideal for both new and experienced writers aiming to make a powerful first impression with their novels. Join us for a blend of writing structure, examples, and hands-on exercises.
