Nashua Fire Victim Identified as Judith Michael, Age 80

NASHUA, New Hampshire – New Hampshire State Fire Marshal Sean P. Toomey, Nashua Fire Chief Steve Buxton and Nashua Police Chief Kevin Rourke announce that the identification and cause and manner of death of the victim that died in the fire at 86 Langholm Dr. in Nashua on October 5, 2023, has been determined.

The NH Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 80-year-old Judith Michael of Nashua, NH. The cause of death of Mrs. Michael was smoke inhalation and the manner of her death was accidental.

The investigation into the origin and cause of the fire is active and ongoing by members of the NH State Fire Marshal’s Office, Nashua Fire Department and the Nashua Police Department.

State Fire Marshal Toomey would like to remind everyone of the importance of having working smoke alarms in their homes. In the event of an alarm activation or visible smoke or fire, residents should immediately exit their home and call 9-1-1. Keep exits clear and accessible at all times and have a home fire escape plan.
