STARK, New Hampshire – On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at approximately 3:48 p.m., the New Hampshire State Police Troop F barracks received a report of a multiple vehicle crash on Route 110 in the town of Stark. When first responders arrived, they observed three vehicles scattered along the westbound lane of Route 110 with significant damage.
On scene investigation revealed that a 2009 Dodge 2500 pick-up operated by:
Lefty A. Marshall
Age: 33
Bloomfield, VT
was traveling eastbound on Route 110 when it drifted across the centerline into the westbound lane, and struck a 2013 GMC dump truck traveling westbound operated by:
Leo Caron
Age: 77
Pittsburg, NH
The Dodge pick-up continued in motion where it struck a second vehicle, a 2012 Honda Odyssey, also in the westbound lane, operated by:
John Schwind
Age: 53
Berlin, NH
Mr. Marshall was given medical attention but was pronounced deceased at the scene. Mr. Caron was transported by EMS to Weeks Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Mr. Schwind and a passenger did not sustain any injuries at the time of the crash.
New Hampshire State Police Troop F was assisted on scene by members of Stark Fire Rescue, Milan Fire Rescue, Groveton Fire Rescue, Groveton EMS, Lancasters EMS, Stark Highway Department, New Hampshire Department of Transportation, Berlin Police Department and New Hampshire State Police Troop G.
