HOPKINTON, New Hampshire – On July 18, 2023, the New Hampshire State Police Special Enforcement Unit conducted a traffic enforcement initiative utilizing the State Police aircraft on Interstate 89 Northbound in the Town of Hopkinton.

During the enforcement effort, a 2017 Honda CBR-1000 motorcycle operated by Fnu Abraham, 29, of Hillsborough, New Hampshire, was originally clocked at 88 MPH.  When Troopers attempted to stop Abraham, he fled at a high rate of speed, passing between vehicles on Interstate 89, reaching a top speed of 149 MPH.

A Trooper in the State Police aircraft monitored Abraham for several miles until he exited Interstate 89 at Exit 6 in Hopkinton.  While traveling on NH Route 127, Abraham passed several vehicles on a double yellow line at a high rate of speed.  The aircraft informed ground units that Abraham had entered the parking lot of Mr. Mike’s convenience store in Hopkinton and parked at the gas pumps.  The aircraft continued to observe Abraham until Troopers from the Troop D Barracks and the Special Enforcement Unit arrived on scene.

Troopers took Abraham into custody where he was charged with: Speeding, Disobeying a Police Officer, Reckless Driving, Unsafe Passing, Operating without a Motorcycle License and Uninspected Motorcycle.  A Bail Commissioner released Abraham on his own recognizance, and he is due to appear in the 6th Circuit Court – District Division Concord on August 25, 2023, at 8:00 a.m.
