Concord, NH – New Hampshire Attorney General John M. Formella has been elected Vice President of the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG), a nonpartisan coalition of the United States’ 56 state and territory Attorneys General.
General Formella was unanimously elected by his fellow Attorneys General nationwide during the Association’s annual Capital Forum gathering, December 6-8, in Washington, D.C.
“Through NAAG, our nation’s Attorneys General are able to come together as a powerful bipartisan collective, channeling our combined authority into a focused legal force capable of taking transformative actions that better safeguard all Americans,” said Attorney General Formella. “I extend my sincere thanks to my fellow Attorneys General across the country for providing me the opportunity to help strengthen NAAG as its next Vice President. I am honored to have earned the support of my colleagues and want to congratulate our newly elected President, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, and all of the other newly elected members of NAAG’s Executive Committee. I look forward to working with General Yost, the rest of the Executive Committee, and all of our counterparts nationwide to address our most pressing shared issues of concern.”
NAAG is the national forum for America’s Attorneys General, providing a community to collaboratively address issues important to their work, as well as training and resources to support Attorneys General in protecting the rule of law and the United States Constitution. Founded in 1907, the organization fosters bipartisan engagement and cooperation among Attorneys General and their staffs on legal and law enforcement issues. NAAG provides a forum for Attorneys General to work together on policies and initiatives and to collaborate with local, state, federal, and international partners to extend the impact and reach of this work.
