CONCORD – Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald announces that officials are responding to an officer-involved shooting incident on Lake Shore Road, in Manchester, New Hampshire.

No officers have been physically injured. Additional information will be released as it becomes available, according to the 8:30 p.m. news release

Concord, NH – Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald announces additional information regarding an officer-involved shooting incident that occurred on Sunday, April 5, 2020, in Concord, New Hampshire. 

At approximately 11:19 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2020, Concord police officers responded to a burglar alarm at the skate house at White Park in Concord.  As that incident was being investigated, a subject was reported to be on the nearby ball field with a gun.  Following the initial response, several Concord police officers and New Hampshire State Troopers located that subject, who appeared to be armed.  At approximately 12:15 a.m., on April 5, 2020, the subject was shot during a confrontation with the police. 

The wounded subject was later identified as Dylan J. Stahley (age 22), of Windsor, New Hampshire.  Mr. Stahley was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment of non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, where he currently remains.

As a result of the incident, the Concord police have charged Mr. Stahley with burglary, reckless conduct, and felon in possession of a firearm.

No officers or other private citizens were physically injured during the incident.  There is no threat to the public.  Pursuant to protocol, the name(s) of the officer(s) involved in the incident is being withheld pending the conclusion of the formal interview.

No additional information is expected to be released until the conclusion of the formal interview(s).
