Author, Filmmaker Gloria Norris

Keynote speaker Gloria Norris discusses how her work as an author and filmmaker require a reporter’s skills and her take on today’s news. Her memoir, “KooKooLand,” details her youth growing up in Manchester.

Our panel ACLU-NH’s Gilles Bissonnette, Executive Councilor Andru Volinsky, First Amendment Attorney Rick Gagliuso and InDepthNH.org founder Nancy West discuss why a vibrant press makes for great democracy. And state Sen. Dan Feltes has also agreed to join our panel. We reached out to Gov. Sununu, but he has a scheduling conflict.

If your business, foundation or philanthropy is interested in sponsoring the event, it will also be counted as a Local Match for NewsMatch, which starts Nov. 1 and runs through Dec. 31, doubling all individual donations up to $1,000. Email nancywestnews@gmail.com for more info.

It’s not too late to join our generous event sponsors Northeast Delta Dental, Bernstein Shur law firm, the Wyman Family Foundation of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, the Gov. Wesley Powell Fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, and Peter W. Powell. Email nancywestnews@gmail.com for more info.
