By Susan Dromey Heeter, Joyful Musings
Today I muse joyfully and very briefly on the hours between twelve and three on Good Friday and for all of the Irish Catholic mothers who treasured this most special time.
For them it was a time of prayer and silence. Quiet. Peace.
In the spirit of Jesus, in the crucifixion, in the final Friday of Lent, these three hours were the sanctuary of absolutely no requests from children. No TV, no radio, no noise.
And whether you are an overwhelmed mother, a devotee of all things Easter, or simply ready for a break, enjoy the tranquility of peace this weekend. If mothers of herds could find it, certainly you can, too.
Happy Easter. May you muse joyfully on peace.
