LANCASTER – At least 400 participants showed up Saturday for The Women’s March on Lancaster sharing concerns over human rights, the environment and the future under the presidency of Donald J. Trump.
Originally it was estimated 50 to 100 people might show up for the event described as providing the chance for people to share their dismay and concerns about President Trump, including his views on women.
But head counts showed that the total to be at least 400 with participants coming from throughout the North Country to the town of about 3,500. A handful of President Trump supporters showed up.

came from Gorham.
“I’m here to be in solidarity with women’s rights, to protect equality and healthcare and our planet,” she said.
To the accompaniment of bells from two churches, the marchers walked up the sidewalk about two miles up Main Street and back.
