A recent article in New Hampshire Business Review caught Roger Wood’s attention.  It was about the two-year journey of mymedicalshopper.com, a website and app that allows New Hampshire consumers to shop for the best quality medical procedures at the most reasonable price.

Co-founder Mark Galvin found that prices for similar procedures vary widely in the state, and that many consumers aren’t aware of their power to take advantage of cost savings.  Galvin, who is based in Portsmouth, is a successful entrepreneur and, as he explains in this podcast, his involvement in mymedicalshopper.com began with the escalating cost of health insurance, coupled with the reduction in benefits to employees and others.
