Jessica Laferriere and Felipe Monteiro have been charged in connection with a child abuse investigation.

Manchester Police have brought additional charges against a former city woman, after a lengthy child abuse investigation.

Jessica Laferriere, 31, was arrested in late January after a child in her care was brought to a Nashua Hospital with significant bruising on multiple parts of the body. Laferriere was released on PR bail.

Since then the investigation has continued, and police now have reason to believe that Laferriere assaulted children in her care on multiple occasions. The abuse occurred and escalated over the course of a year. Police determined that all the assaults happened in Manchester.

Along with Laferriere, Felipe Monteiro, 33, has been charged in connection with the abuse. Through the investigation police determined that Monteiro knew about the assaults, but never reported them. Monteiro was charged with 2 counts of Falsifying Evidence, 12 counts of Violating the Child Protection Act, and 12 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Laferriere faces 11 counts of Second Degree Assault, 2 counts of Falsifying Evidence, 5 counts of Criminal Threatening, and 15 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
