By SUSAN DROMEY HEETER, Joyful Musings
Today I muse joyfully on the half price Valentine candy sales that are sure to take place Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday of this week.
I delight in giving my gifts out a little late, frugal writer that I am. I do love the sales, particularly of chocolate.
In my school desk, I still have Halloween Reese’s cups. Stale?

I don’t think so – when I need a sweet to pick me up, they never fail, never disappoint, always work in a pinch.
Chocolate and sale are two words delightfully combined – like sun and beach, ice and skating, winning and lottery.
It’s good to delay gratification, to use calendars as suggestions, not necessarily rules to abide by.
As Easter candy begins to show her lovely wares, I’ll wait until she’s 80% off, marshmallow peeps, in my world, always taste a little better aged, like cheese.
I unapologetically indulge in sweets – all kinds, all types, all brands. It’s never a bad idea to have a sweet within reach, particularly one you’ve found in the aisle of CVS apres the holiday of choice.
That’s it, today, dear musers, simple sweets, simple love, simple savings. May you muse joyfully in all.
