NH DHHS Reschedules Jan. 10 Colebrook Public Forum for Granite Advantage Health Care Program to Jan. 24

Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has announced that a public forum in Colebrook for the Granite Advantage Health Care Program, originally scheduled for Thursday, January 10, has been rescheduled due to an unforeseen conflict.

The rescheduled public forum in Colebrook will be held on Thursday, January 24, from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital, Pearson Board Room.

UPDATED at 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025: At approximately 1:00 A.M., officers of the Pembroke Police Department responded to a call from 336 Pembroke Hill Road in Pembroke in response to a 911 call. Upon entering the home, they made contact with the resident who called 911. Upstairs in a bedroom they discovered the two other residents suffering from apparent gunshot wounds: Julia Byrne (age 26) and her son, Blake Byrne (age 3). A witness at the scene reported hearing two gunshots, then going to the bedroom to find both mother and child injured.
WMNF Madison Gulf Trail Bridge Closed; Official Appalachian Trail Detour Identified

Gorham, NH May 8, 2025 -The Madison Gulf Bridge which crosses the Peabody River along the Appalachian Trail on the Androscoggin Ranger District has been closed after an inspection deemed the bridge unsafe for pedestrian traffic.
