CONCORD – The state Department of Health and Human Services announced 48 new positive test results for COVID-19 and no new deaths Friday.
The state raised Nashua’s community level transmission from minimal to moderate on Friday. Manchester and Strafford County continue to be moderate.
No areas of the state had the highest red level of substantial. The overall level of community transmission is defined using three metrics: new cases and new hospitalizations per 100,000 and 7-day PCR test positive rate. Green is minimal, Yellow is moderate and Red would be substantial.

There have now been 7,861 cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in New Hampshire. Several cases are still under investigation. Additional information from ongoing investigations will be incorporated into future COVID-19 updates. Of those with complete information, there are fourteen individuals under the age of 18 and the rest are adults with 38% being female and 62% being male.
The new cases reside in Rockingham (10), Strafford (5), Hillsborough County other than Manchester and Nashua (4), Merrimack (4), and Carroll (1) counties, and in the cities of Manchester (14) and Nashua (6). The county of residence is being determined for four new cases.
No new hospitalized cases were identified for a total of 725 (9%) of 7,861 cases. Nine of the new cases had no identified risk factors. Community-based transmission continues to occur in the State and has been identified in all counties. Of those with complete risk information, most of the cases are either associated with an outbreak setting, have had close contact with a person with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis, or have recently traveled.
