If the Park Street Foundation in Concord is successful, a portrait of former Executive
Councilor Dudley Webster Dudley will be hanging in the council chambers. The nonprofit, which won the support of the Legislature and governor, is now moving in the direction of fundraising.
Roger Wood has known the Durham resident since she spearheaded a drive to stop Aristotle Onassis’ plan to build an oil refinery in her community. He previously spoke indepth with her at Wagon Hill Farm, near the proposed refinery site.
As soon as the necessary funds are raised, the commissioned portrait will be painted and added to those of all the others who have served. There are no portraits of women in that portion of the statehouse and she was the first to serve.
Contributors may send checks to the Park Street Foundation with Dudley Dudley portrait in the memo line. The address is Park Street Foundation, 20 Park St., Concord, NH 03301. InDepthNH thanks Northeast Delta Dental and numerous donors for their support. For InDepthNH.org, I’m Roger Wood.
