It wasn’t lucky number 7 for supporters of marijuana decriminalization in New Hampshire. By a 14 to 10 vote, the state Senate defeated a compromise bill that would have removed the possession of small amounts of pot from the criminal courts.
Roger Wood spoke to Matt Simon, New England political director of the Marijuana Policy Project, which has supported the legalization of marijuana for years.
Simon added, “The 14 senators who voted to kill this bill appear to have abandoned any pretense that they are representing their constituents on marijuana policy.”
