Laconia Police Chief Matthew Canfield said two motorcycles collided on Route 3 in Laconia in the area of Funspot and the Looney Bin Saturday at about 11 p.m.

The initial investigation shows that the two motorcycles appeared to have been traveling in opposite directions when they collided. When the crash occurred one motorcycle caught fire.

Two men and one woman were pronounced deceased at the scene, a fourth patient was transported by DHART to Concord Hospital with serious injuries.

It appears each motorcycle had an operator and a passenger when they collided.

Cameron Mosher, 28, of Dennis, Mass., and Miles Collette, 32, of Gilford were the operators of the motorcycles who died at the scene. Jeanine Fereshetian, 33, of Laconia was identified as the passenger who died at the scene. No identity was released for the woman flown to Concord Hospital.

Chief Canfield said that neither business in the area of the crash had any involvement in the crash. Chief Canfield said that at this time it is unknown if speed or impairment were factors in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation and all details related to the crash are preliminary and subject to further investigation.
