Manchester Fire Department and an AMR ambulance were enroute Thursday night to the Sununu Youth Services Center in Manchester for the report of a State Trooper with an eye injury, and two juvenile detainees with superficial injuries.
Additional radio transmissions said the Trooper was bitten, pepper sprayed, and had a cut on the hand. Two juveniles had broken pieces of glass, and it was unclear if police had secured the scene.
AMR was reportedly transporting a 37-year old Trooper to the Elliot Hospital with eye injuries and was “pretty roughed up” by juveniles and pepper sprayed, according to the transmissions.
Allenstown Ambulance was transporting a 16-year-old-male who was pepper sprayed, suffering irritation to his upper body and abrasions. He was said to be in a restraint with a staff member on board.
Manchester police department was notified that State Police was responding.
Department of Safety spokesman Tyler Dumont said, “We’ll have more information to provide tomorrow, but for now, the incident has concluded and Troopers have the situation under control.”
