DURHAM, NH – Mild weather in the Granite State is dampening expectations for a white Christmas and more people will have artificial than real Christmas trees. Granite Staters increasingly prefer to say “Merry Christmas” rather than “Happy Holidays”, though many say it does not matter to them which term businesses use.
These findings are based on the latest Granite State Poll, conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center. One thousand and seventy-eight (1,078) Granite State Panel members completed the survey online between December 12 and December 16, 2024. The margin of sampling error for the survey is +/- 3.0 percent.
