InDepthNH.org was a founding member of the Association of Nonprofit News Outlets with 32 members across the country to encourage more direct funding from large philanthropic individuals and organizations to small nonprofit news outlets.
I’m thrilled to say Nieman Journalism Lab out of Harvard just published a two-part series focused on ANNO’s concerns and suggestions. It is important that we keep you posted on what is really going on with the funding of local news because right now our readers and a few generous local philanthropists are keeping us going, but we need a major influx of cash to build our business component.
