Former President Donald Trump will deliver remarks Tuesday at Windham High School, his third visit to New Hampshire this year. Trump’s visit falls exactly one week after new indictments related to the former president’s actions following the 2020 election and leading up to the Jan. 6 uprising at the Capitol.

As four main investigations unfold surrounding Trump, he continues to make appearances across the country. In recent speeches, Trump has called for increased immigration enforcement, greater support for Christianity, and opposition to the criminal charges he currently faces.

Latest polls show Trump is still a frontrunner for the Republican nomination. A recent New York Times/Siena poll of the 2024 election showed 54% of Republican voters picking Trump over other candidates for the Republican primary, while another poll showed Trump and Joe Biden each tied with 43% of the vote in the national election.

Gov. Chris Sununu, however, has been outspokenly critical of Trump in recent statements. In a July 31 appearance on Salem News Channel, Sununu claimed he would support Trump if he was the nominee, but was confident Trump wouldn’t be. “After he loses, I don’t think he’s going quietly,” Sununu said. He went further to characterize Trump as “a crybaby.”

The event at Windham High School is still open to the public with prior registration. The doors open at 12:30 p.m. and Trump is scheduled to deliver remarks at 2:30 p.m. Local Windham police will be providing security throughout the event.
