By Beverly Stoddart, A NH Writer’s Life
Periodically, I wanted to update what has been happening to a few of the authors I’ve gotten to know and let folks know what’s been happening for them.
MIKE MORIN: Since I last spoke with Mike Morin, everyone’s favorite DJ, and man about town, he has published If These Walls Could Talk – Celebrating 100 Years of the Red Arrow America’s Most Beloved Diner (Hobblebush Books). The timing is perfect with the upcoming First in the Nation presidential primary. Mike talks about the history of the diner that first opened its doors in October 1922. Every politician who wants to be seen visits the diner, and Mike gives us the opportunity to read all about it. You can reach Mike via email at mikemorinmedia@gmail.com to get your signed copy.
JOHN ROBINSON: John is one of the most successful New Hampshire authors who has published in literary magazines. John’s fiction piece, “The Borders of Sleep,” is featured in the current issue #40 of Post Road magazine. Here’s how he heard about the acceptance. “Ironically, the story was composed last February and finished on the 27th. Three months later, Post Road Magazine (published by the English Department at Boston College) contacted me with an offer of publication. Founded in New York City in 1999, it has long been regarded as one of the finest university-based literary journals, publishing the impressive list of contemporary writers from around the world. I was eating a grilled cheese sandwich at the Ice House Restaurant in Rye when I received the offer. I was honored to accept.”
REBECCA KAISER GIBSON: For a truly wonderful experience, join Rebecca along with Scott Lenga and Jai Chakrabarti for a Zoom book event from Israel. Literary Modiin’s March Author event is Sunday, March 12, 2023, 20:00 Israel – 1 pm ET.
