DERRY – Students from high schools across Southern New Hampshire will converge on Pinkerton Academy on April 6, 2022, for the Southern New Hampshire College Fair. The fair will take place in the Hackler Gymnasium on By-Pass 28 in Derry from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. All students and parents from New Hampshire high schools are welcome to attend the event free of charge.
Approximately 140 colleges and universities from across the nation will once again be represented at the fair. This number includes small liberal arts colleges, major state universities, two-year colleges, technical colleges, one-year specialty schools and career schools. United States Service and service academies, NH Higher Education Assistance Foundation and Apprenticeships will also have representatives present.
Back by popular demand, we have 2 breakout sessions for families who are interested in learning more about “Financial Aid” and “Beginning the College Search“ These sessions will be held in the Ek Science Building in the Manning Lecture Hall. Space is limited to the first 70 people for each session. We hope you’ll come and hear this important information! The schedule is as follows:
6:30-7pm: Financial Aid
7-7:30pm: Beginning the College Search
The college fair gives students a chance to talk personally with various college representatives and get detailed questions answered about the institution to which they are planning to apply. Keep in mind that it is never too early to explore the college admissions process and prudent to plan on the financing of that education. Our School Counselors will have an information table “Ask the Counselors” to help you with all of your questions.
For more information about the college fair, contact Tammy Craft in the Pinkerton Academy School Counseling Office at (603) 437-5200 ext. 1189.
