DOVER – Special committees in the state Senate and House on redistricting will be meeting Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Strafford County Courthouse, but people can also watch from the comfort of their homes.

Every 10 years the state attempts to redraw the political maps for the state based on the results of the most recent federal Census.
This year, the House members are eight Republicans and seven Democrats. They include as Republicans Chair Reps. Barbara Griffin, Vice-Chair Steven Smith, Carol McGuire, Leonard Turcotte, Wayne MacDonald, Bob Lynn, Ross Berry, and Travis O’Hara.
Democrat Reps are David Cote, Marjorie Smith, Paul Bergeron, Connie Lane, Israel Piedra, Lucy Weber, and Matthew Wilhelm.
On the Senate side, committee members include Republicans Chair Sen. James Gray, Regina Birdsell, and Democrat Donna Soucy.
Alternate members are Republican Sharon Carson and Democrat Rebecca Perkins Kwoka.
People can email senate.redistricting@leg.state.nh.us to provide testimony and proposals.
These will be considered public records subject to disclosure under the Right-To-Know Law so do not submit any personal information. The group has already met once Sept. 14 at the Merrimack County Old County Courthouse and the next one after Dover will be Sept. 30 also at 6 p.m. at the Hillsborough County NH IOP, 100 Saint Anselm Drive, Manchester.
