CONCORD – Yesterday, the New York Times published a feature story on Hope on Haven Hill’s work to provide substance misuse treatment and residential services to pregnant and parenting women battling addiction.
Located in Rochester, Hope on Haven Hill provides treatment, wraparound and residential services and supportive housing to low-income pregnant or parenting women experiencing substance use disorders while allowing children to remain in their mother’s care.
In a bipartisan vote in August, Governor Hassan and the Executive Council approved a $480,000 contract to support Hope on Haven Hill, one of three state contracts approved this year to expand programs for pregnant and parenting mothers in New Hampshire. Governor Hassan joined Hope on Haven Hill officials and other dignitaries for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the facility on December 6.
