Marston Avenue’s July 4 parade in Portsmouth is rumored to be the shortest parade in the United States. State Sen. Martha Fuller Clark spoke to Roger Wood as he experimented with Periscope live video streaming. Lady Liberty read from the Declaration of Independence and several youngsters performed the Star-Spangled Banner and other music. The crowd sang God Bless America. The parade has been a Fourth of July fixture for decades.
