Sadly, some swimmers get in over their heads, or are the unwitting victims of rip tides or high breakers. Every summer, fire departments train on jet skis to assist lifeguards in savings lives. Ben Selleck of the Bedford Fire Department was in charge of the training when I observed an exercise.
