CONCORD – Dr. Moira O’Neill has announced that she will not be seeking a second term as Director of the New Hampshire Office of the Child Advocate. Since taking office in the then-newly created role in 2018, Dr. O’Neill has led transformative change in child advocacy as well as oversight of our state’s child-serving systems.

Sen. Becky Whitley, D-Hopkinton, said O’Neill’s contributions to the protection, care, and welfare of New Hampshire’s children cannot be understated.

“During her tenure, she has built the Office of the Child Advocate to be a national example in this critical field. Her leadership has helped us make important strides toward strengthening and integrating our systems of services for children in New Hampshire,” Whitley said.

“As a legislator, I am tremendously grateful to Dr. O’Neill for her expertise and forward-thinking systems work to ensure a healthy future for all children and I look forward to building on her momentum for years to come,”  she said.
