New Messner Ad Focuses on Senator Shaheen’s Failed Leadership and Zero Rating from Leading National Small Business Group

BEDFORD,NH — October 9, 2020 — U.S. Senate candidate Bryant “Corky” Messner today released an ad focusing on the zero rating given incumbent Jeanne Shaheen by the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB).

“After months of attacks by the Democrat Party, its allies, and Senator Shaheen, I am setting the record straight and spotlighting Jeanne Shaheen’s failed leadership as New Hampshire’s Senator,” said the Wolfeboro Republican. “She has lost touch with the needs of Granite Staters and our small business community.”

“After 30 years, D.C. Jeanne Shaheen has forgotten working families,” the ad begins. “Shaheen received a zero rating from the nation’s leading small business group.”

The NFIB, founded in 1943, advocates on behalf of America’s small and independent business owners, both in Washington, D.C., and in all 50 state capitals. NFIB is nonprofit, nonpartisan, and member-driven.
The ad, which airs on WMUR-TV Channel 9 and cable television, and also has a digital component, continues: “She voted against tax cuts for small business. She supports a candidate who will raise taxes, killing more jobs.”

“Corky Messner will fight to keep taxes low. He’ll fight for limited government and that creates job security,” the ad concludes. It closes with a reference to Messner’s record as a successful businessman and West Point graduate, and his endorsement by Governor Chris Sununu.
