Law enforcent personnel investigate shooting in downtown Henniker early Sunday morning.

CONCORD – There have been no arrests in connection with Sunday’s early morning shooting at an apartment party in Henniker in which two New England College students and another individual were injured.

The names of the victims were not released to protect the integrity of the investigation, according to Merrimack County Attorney Robin Davis.  The incident occurred at 3 a.m. Sunday at 4 Bridge St., Henniker, and is believed to be an isolated incident, Davis said.

Police say they are focusing the investigation on individuals who are believed to have traveled to Henniker from out-of-town and out-of-state.

According to a news release, a firearm was shown and discharged twice during an encounter at the party that injured three people, who police say were not targeted and were treated and released from a local hospital.

About 60 people attended the party near the college and most have been interviewed. Local, state, federal and out-of-state law enforcement officers are investigating.

As an added precaution, there will be a heightened presence of local, county and state law enforcement in Henniker and throughout the New England College campus.

Anyone in the greater Henniker and New England College communities who may have information relevant to this incident is encouraged to reach out to the New Hampshire State Police Tip Line at (603) MCU-TIPS or email at MCU@dos.nh.gov.
