Tune in to NHPBS Saturday, March 24th at 6 pm as Exeter High School takes on Oyster River High School in this week’s Granite State Challenge final first round match.
Playing for the Exeter Blue Hawks are captain Weston Su, Patrick Marcoux, Sophia Rubens, and Owen Barry, as well as alternates Jack Pindell and Matthew McCuthcen. They are coached by Aaron Blais. The Oyster River Bobcats are represented by captain Gigi Reece, Owen Hilyard, Kagan Conrad, and Jacob Zercher, with alternates Emily Allyson and Megan Hutar. They are coached by John Monahan.
The two teams hope to join the teams from Hanover High, Salem High, Merrimack High, Plymouth Regional High, Portsmouth High, Manchester Central High and Nashua High South, who have already advanced to the quarterfinals. The winner of this Saturday’s match will face defending champion, Nashua High South.
Hosted by Jim Jeannotte, Granite State Challenge features New Hampshire’s top high school academic quiz teams as they demonstrate remarkable teamwork, quick thinking and smarts to beat the clock and buzz in first on this iconic New Hampshire game show. The game emphasizes quick recall of math, science, social studies, language arts, and fine arts facts—along with questions about current events, entertainment, sports, and New Hampshire.
