A new $10 million emergency 9-1-1 facility may be built in Laconia on state land after the Executive Council and the City of Laconia came to an agreement about various parcels around the former Laconia State School property, Wednesday.
The closure of five part-time Planned Parenthood of Northern New England health centers, including one in Claremont, and whether the Executive Council is responsible for the loss of access to rural reproductive health care were debated between Gov. Chris Sununu and Executive Councilor Cinde Warmington at Wednesday’s meeting.
Dalia Vidunas of Concord’s Equality Health Center said she had no doubt that the threats to women’s reproductive freedoms in New Hampshire will grow if Republicans retain the majority next year in the New Hampshire House and Senate.
CONCORD – Just two days after a leaked Supreme Court draft decision indicating Roe v. Wade is set to be overturned, reproductive health care was on the top of elected officials’ minds.
