Last week I opened a trunk that had not seen the light of day since the late 90s. In the spirit of moving houses, packing and sorting, I opted to take this trunk with me as I traveled down to the south shore of Massachusetts.
Today the area is once again under threat, this time from the very agency that was charged with caring for it when $7.5 million in public and private funds secured its preservation.
On Friday, the state reported 23 COVID-19 hospitalizations. The NHHA website reported 93 total confirmed cases in the state’s hospitals, with 26 patients being treated specifically with COVID-19 medications.
Two state Senators – Lou D’Allesandro, D-Manchester, and Bill Gannon, R-Sandown, attended Thursday’s session via video because they both had tested positive for COVID-19, D’Allesandro said Friday.
Those deceased adults have been identified as Holly Banks (age 28) and her acquaintance, Keith Labelle (age 42). Ms. Banks lived at the 625 North Main Street residence.
The state Senate passed a bill that would create a Parents Bill of Rights on Thursday. House Bill 1431 now goes to the Finance Committee.
CONCORD – A bill that would have allowed adults to possess up to three-quarters of an ounce of marijuana and grow up to six plants at home was killed in the Senate 15 to 9 on Thursday.
The Dover City Council has voted, 7-1, to challenge the redistricting plan that placed Ward 4 in a floterial district with the towns of Madbury, Lee, and Durham, depriving Dover of its own representative for that ward.
