AG: Three Troopers Fired Weapons in Ossipee Nov. 7, One Man Was Injured

Concord, NH – Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald announces the names of the law enforcement officers involved in the shooting incident on November 7, 2019, in Ossipee, New Hampshire that resulted in injuries to John Swanson (age 53).

The officers who discharged their firearms during the incident were New Hampshire State Police Troopers Nicholas Levesque, who has been an officer for approximately 7 years, Michael Cedrone who has been an officer for approximately 15 years, and Nicholas Cyr, who has been an officer for approximately for 14 years.

The circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation.  A determination regarding whether the use of force was justified will be released once the investigation is completed.  No further updates are expected until this determination is made.
