It’s Back To Writing for Local Environmentalist

You may have heard her on the radio, advocating for energy conservation and environmental measures.

Or, you may be a consumer card-holder for The Green Alliance, which Sarah Brown established in Portsmouth.  She was encouraged in her project by Simply Green Biofuels, which at the time was trying for a niche in a business dominated by fossil fuel suppliers.

Now, after some eight years heading up The Green Alliance, Brown is moving on, or should we say, back to her passion … writing.  Brown has written and produced for major networks including CNN, the BBC, NBC and Associated Press.

The Kittery resident has also served on the town council and zoning board, with a decade-long local commitment to the environment.  Roger Wood caught up with Brown in between assignments for National Geographic where she writes regularly for “The Plate” food columns.

Sarah Brown is still active with greenalliance.biz, producing the radio spots and consulting.
