Just when you thought big philanthropy couldn’t piss off local news publishers any more than they already have, the Knight Media Forum happened in Miami this week.
InDepthNH.org is pleased to announce that with 50 years of experience, Roger Wood was honored at the New Hampshire Press Association awards banquet Thursday with its Lifetime Achievement 2023 award for his work in broadcast radio news and public affairs.
Nancy West, Executive Editor at InDepthNH.org, had an engaging conversation with WKXL’s Ken Cail on his popular Cail & Company program. West is receiving the Michael Donoghue Freedom of Information Award from the New England First Amendment Coalition. Nancy will be presented with the award at an invitation-only event on June 1st.
West’s award is for continuing to persevere in journalism at a time when financial insecurity is threatening local newsrooms across the country.
On January 30, A.J. Kierstead of The New England Take interviewed our very own Nancy West at InDepthNH.org for his show.
Here at InDepthNH.org, we understand and insist on reporting unbiased news. And we know that, these days, the news can feel especially unpredictable and makes you wonder in New Hampshire who is really putting the money behind it and what they expect to get from it.
This week, Dan Kennedy and Ellen Clegg interviewed me (Nancy West) at InDepthNH.org for their podcast ‘What Works’.
In seven years, we have focused on reporting unbiased, ethical news. Along the way have gained your trust and respect. You have shown through your donations and notes and emails – often with a pat on the back – that you want us to do more and we will as you will read about our plans in our report. This have been joyful learning experience at every turn and we are grateful for your continued support and readership.
I want to talk to you about winners if you’ve got a minute. InDepthNH.org took home nine awards in our small newspaper category Thursday night at the NH Press Association banquet in Manchester Thursday night.
