Republican Gov. Chris Sununu has invited controversial EPA chief Scott Pruitt to New Hampshire seeking his help with a new “overly burdensome” municipal storm water discharge permit, a request that has caused concern among some environmentalists.

The site, next to Pequawket Pond, is where KMC made stainless-steel valves from 1964 to 1982. The KMC made stainless-steel castings for the nuclear power industry.
