CONCORD – The state Department of Health and Human Services announced 16 new positive test results for COVID-19 and no new deaths on Monday.
There have now been 7,004 cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in New Hampshire. Several cases are still under investigation. Additional information from ongoing investigations will be incorporated into future COVID-19 updates.

Of those with complete information, there are two individuals under the age of 18 Monday and the rest are adults, with 25% being female and 75% being male.
Editor’s note: The total children ages birth to 19 infected with COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic in March is now 507 in New Hampshire or about 7 percent of the total 7,004 cases with no deaths in the 0 to 19 age group, according to the DHHS chart above. The state data doesn’t say how many have recovered by age group, but in general 90 percent of all people infected have recovered, according to state data.
The new cases reside in Rockingham (6), Hillsborough County other than Manchester and Nashua (3), Merrimack (2), and Cheshire (1) counties, and in the cities of Manchester (3) and Nashua (1).
One new hospitalized case was identified for a total of 709 (10%) of 7,004 cases. Four of the new cases had no identified risk factors. Community-based transmission continues to occur in the State and has been identified in all counties. Of those with complete risk information, most of the cases have either had close contact with a person with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis or have recently traveled.
