Maine Man Accused of Murdering Woman at Timberland in Stratham

Police investigate the death of a 46-year-old woman at Timberland's corporate headquarters in Stratham.

Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Christopher J. Wagner, and Stratham Police Chief Anthony King announce that an arrest has been made in connection with the suspicious death of an adult female (age 46) in Stratham on February 9, 2020.

Robert Pavao (age 20), of Berwick, Maine has been arrested and charged with one count of second-degree murder for knowingly causing the death of an adult female by assaulting her, and one count of second-degree murder for recklessly causing the death of an adult female under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by assaulting her.

It is anticipated that Mr. Pavao’s arraignment will be conducted on Monday, February 10, 2020, at Rockingham Superior Court in Brentwood.

The charges and allegations contained therein are merely accusations, and Mr. Pavao is presumed innocent until proven guilty. It is anticipated that an autopsy will be conducted on the adult female on February 10. Her identity is being withheld at this time pending notification of her family members.
