SANDOWN – Early Wednesday morning police were dispatched to 48 Phillipswood Road for what Attorney General Gordon MacDonald called a suspicious death.

In a press release, MacDonald said there is an active investigation at that address. The house was surrounded Wednesday by crime scene tape with one Sandown cruiser in the driveway.

Investigators from NHSP Major Crime Unit canvassed the neighborhood and interviewed neighbors.

This is the second death investigation in Southern New Hampshire in a 24-hour period. The other death in Pelham was described as being untimely.

Authorities released no further information.
