If it seems like we are asking you for donations an awful lot lately, it’s because we are. And the better news is that you are answering our call. Thank you!

InDepthNH.org relies on the period from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31 to have all of your individual donations up to $1,000 doubled by national organizations up to $20,000 as part of NewsMatch 2019.

Published by the nonprofit New Hampshire Center for Public Interest Journalism, we are the only nonprofit news outlet in New Hampshire eligible for NewsMatch 2019 again this year. https://www.newsmatch.org/organizations/new-hampshire-center-for-public-interest-journalism-5b4f87c8-52f7-4922-84e8-664eeda39d44

In less than 24 hours on our first NewMatch 2019 day Nov. 1, you have already donated $855, which will be doubled. And you have until Dec. 31 to continue to dig deep.

Thanks Robert Clegg for starting our day with a bang with a $500 donation. Thanks, too, for the following donations, Katharine Terrie, $30; JS Katzman, $25; Karen Ebel, $100; Sue McLane, $100, and Henry Noel, $100. All of your donations make me feel like our work really matters. Thanks.

Here’s how it works.

Starting now — through December 31 — NewsMatch will match your new monthly donation 12x or double your one-time gift, all up to $1,000.

We can earn up to $20,000 in matching dollars, which means the New Hampshire Center for Public Interest Journalism can raise $40,000 in total. For a nonprofit like us, this is a big deal and will help us deliver the kind of innovative journalism you’ve come to expect, every day.

And I hope you will also come to our major fundraiser Nov. 12 at 5 p.m. at the Derryfield Restaurant in Manchester, Why the Future of News Matters with Gloria Norris as keynote speaker, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, desserts.

We’ll also host a panel and answer your questions with ACLU-NH’s Gilles Bissonnette, Berstein Shur attorney Rick Gagliuso, Executive Councilor Andru Volinsky and Sen. Dan Feltes. Gov. Sununu unfortunately had a scheduling conflict. Get tickets here. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/why-the-future-of-news-matters-with-gloria-norris-tickets-75219841571

It’s not too late to join our generous event sponsors Northeast Delta Dental, Bernstein Shur law firm, the Wyman Family Foundation of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, the Gov. Wesley Powell Fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, and Peter W. Powell. Email nancywestnews@gmail.com for more info.
