Manchester Unveils Roxo, FedEx SameDay Bot Tuesday

Manchester Mayor Joyce Craig will officially meet Roxo, the FedEx SameDay Bot, on City Hall Plaza, as it travels along its daily testing route, on Tuesday, August 6, at 3 PM. FedEx, in collaboration with DEKA Research & Development Corporation, officially kicked off the initial beta test of its revolutionary FedEx SameDay Bot autonomous delivery vehicle on the streets of Manchester, NH, earlier this Summer. FedEx announced Roxo in February 2019 as an autonomous delivery device designed to help retailers make same-day and last-mile deliveries to their customers.

— That shirt you need for tonight’s wedding?  It might soon be delivered by a robot, and if you live in the Queen City, you can check the robot out at 3 p.m. Tuesday on City Hall Plaza.

Manchester Mayor Joyce Craig will officially meet Roxo, the FedEx SameDay Bot, on City Hall Plaza, Tuesday as it travels along its daily testing route.
In collaboration with DEKA Research & Development Corporation, which is based in Manchester, the delivery folks officially kicked off the initial beta test of its new bot earlier this summer.

This will be the mayor’s first chance to meet the new roamer of her city’s streets.

Dean Kamen, who has championed robotics research at DEKA, is also expected to attend as is Rebecca Young, vice president for FedEx Com.

FedEx announced Roxo in February 2019 as an autonomous delivery device designed to help retailers make same-day and last-mile deliveries to their customers.
FedEx Ground does over $20 billion in deliveries each year and is one of the largest delivery companies.
