7:52 p.m. April 20 AG news release: Concord, NH — Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Christopher J. Wagner, and Hampton Police Chief Richard E. Sawyer announce that officials are responding to a suspicious death in Hampton, New Hampshire.

Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

6:02 p.m. April 20 AG news release: Concord, NH — Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Christopher J. Wagner, and Laconia Police Chief Matthew Canfield announce that an autopsy was conducted on Wilfred Guzman, Sr. (age 57), who was discovered deceased inside his residence in Laconia, New Hampshire on April 19, 2019.

Dr. Christine James of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has determined that the cause of Mr. Guzman’s death was blunt and sharp force injury to the head, and the manner of death was homicide.

The investigation into the circumstances of Mr. Guzman’s death remains active and ongoing.  Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Sergeant Matthew Amatucci of the New Hampshire State Police at (603) 223-4381.
