Dear friends of New Hampshire Center for Public Interest Journalism,
We are on the verge of terrific growth at the New Hampshire Center for Public Interest Journalism.
Yesterday, I met with our board of directors in Concord and came away feeling that we have terrific support from people who truly care about the future of unbiased news in New Hampshire. They are smart, hard-working people who are rolling up their sleeves to make sure we can not only continue our work, but grow into 2019.
One of our most important jobs right now is to increase board membership because the board of directors is the heart of the organization and we need more talented hands on deck. Board members serve many functions. They help steer the ship and act as our cheerleaders all year long. They also help raise the money we will need to expand our State House coverage in January and we are already starting to plan our first-in-the nation primary coverage down the road as well.
The board elected Laurie Storey Manseau as vice chairman, Bob Charest as secretary and Gina Gilmore as treasurer. Also present at the meeting were Robin Mulcahy, Don Kreis and Gloria Norris on conference call from California.
That means we still hope to find a chairman of the board. Is that you? Email me at email@example.com. We would like to add several new board members soon as well.
