Hanover High Meets Salem High in Quarterfinals on March 31

(DURHAM, March 28, 2018) – Tune in to NHPBS Saturday, March 31 at 6 p.m. as Hanover High School takes on the Salem High School in the first quarterfinal game on Granite State Challenge.

Playing for the Hanover Marauders are captain Hayden Smith, Liam Szczepiorkowski, Simon Herron, and Oliver Minshall and alternate Sam Beliveau. The Marauders are coached by Gabe Brison-Trezise and Bill Murphy. The Salem Blue Devils are represented by captain Tony Consentino, Aidan Gallo, Jonathan Tarness, and Alexis Ahern and alternates Ricky Jeffreys and Oba Oseghali. They are coached by Bernie Campbell.

The teams from Merrimack, Portsmouth, Plymouth, Manchester Central, Nashua South, and Exeter have also made it to the quarterfinals.

Hosted by Jim Jeannotte, Granite State Challenge features New Hampshire’s top high school academic quiz teams as they demonstrate remarkable teamwork, quick thinking and smarts to beat the clock and buzz in first on this iconic New Hampshire game show. The game emphasizes quick recall of math, science, social studies, language arts, and fine arts facts – along with questions about current events, entertainment, sports, and New Hampshire.
