Tomorrow in Colebrook: Shaheen to Give Remarks at Colebrook Tragedy 20thAnniversary Memorial Run

U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) will attend and offer remarks at the start of the Colebrook Tragedy 20thAnniversary Memorial Run in Colebrook Friday, August 18th at 4:00 p.m.
The Memorial Run is being hosted by State Police Troop F and is a 50 mile, overnight run from Colebrook to Twin Mountain in honor of those who lost their lives during the 1997 shooting.
Earlier in the day, Shaheen will join participants in the Veterans Conservation Corps (VCC) at 11:00 a.m. in Bartlett to learn about the program and their work on the White Mountain National Forest. The VCC provides an opportunity for active duty soldiers to learn about careers in forest management at the National Forest.
Shaheen will also visit PAK Solutions, a manufacturing company which specializes in prestige bags and boxes, inLancaster at 1:30 p.m. Shaheen will tour the facility and meet with employees. Shaheen is the Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business & Entrepreneurship Committee.

On Aug. 19, 1997, Carl Drega shot and killed State Police Troopers Les Lord and Scott Phillips, newspaper editor Dennis Joos and district court judge Vickie Bunnell. Before being killed in a shootout, Drega also shot and wounded Fish and Game Lt. Wayne Saunders, U.S. Border Patrol Agent John Pfeifer, and State Police Troopers Jeff Caulder and Robert Haase.
