NH Drug Deaths Projected To Be Slightly Fewer in 2017

News release issued Wednesday from the Attorney General's Office

 

Data provided by the Attorney General’s Office of Chief Medical Examiner show a slight decrease in the number of drug overdose deaths projected for this year. Last year, there were 486 and figures released on Wednesday project 466 overdose deaths in New Hampshire for 2017.

Deaths involving cocaine appear to be down substantially, closer to where the numbers were five years ago with 22 deaths involving cocaine, down from last year’s record high at 63 such deaths. See release below.
